A translation of the GazettE’s “Yoin” from their studio album “DIVISION”. “Yoin” means “lingering memory”, and the sad and mournful music backs the idea and the lyrics of loss. I honestly don’t feel like it’s possible to do justice to the lyrics in a translation, but I have done my best.
Please do not steal this translation or use it without my permission. All rights belong to the GazettE and their label PS Company/Sony Music Japan.

Yume no owari
Wazuka na koe sae todokanu hodo
Fuhai shita
Gamen ni ha gi ga taezu
Yoin sae mo kasunde
In the end of the dream,
I had decayed so much
That even my faint voice couldn't reach you.
The lies on the screen continually
Make even the lingering memories hazy.
This scene
This scene
This scene
Kotoba tsunagiwa wo egaita setsubou
This scene
Sugisaru hibi ni
Usureteyuku inori yo umi he...
This scene
Where longing paints out the connection of words,
This scene
In the days that pass by,
My fading prayer goes to the sea
Utsukushiki hikari Wazuka na shuu
Of beautiful light and faint shame.
This rain which melts into my skin
Slowly
This rain which melts into my skin
Slowly
Sotto fukaku Rinen no soko
Toikakeru you ni
Sou "Itsuka ha kaze to bakeru"
Shitteita hazu da na
This rain which melts into my skin
Slowly
Softly, and deeply, down to the bottom of my ideas
To ask me,
"Someday, will you take the form of the wind ..?"
You should already know.
Utsukushiki hikari Wazuka na shuu
Mukidashi no anmoku ni kasoku suru kanjou no eshi
The beautiful light, and the faint shame
Speed tacit nakedness into emotional necrosis.
This rain which melts into my skin
Slowly
This rain which melts into my skin
Slowly
Sotto fukaku Rinen no soko
Tsukisasatta genjitsu
Soushitsu no umi
Muryoku wo satori
Nageita ano hi
This rain which melts into my skin
Slowly
Softly, and deeply, down to the bottom of my ideas,
Pierces into my reality,
Into the ocean of loss.
The day when I realised my helplessness,
I grieved.
