Muriyari oshitsukerareta Katai kutsu no sei de
show window no naka de Ugokenai ano ningyou
Koko no mawari no hitotachi ni somattemiru no mo ii ka mo ne
Pushed against its will, that mannequin in the show window
Can't move because of its stiff shoes.
I have some free time this weekend, so maybe it would be good to go out with the locals
And spend some time on テδッテつソテつス Street.
Ameagari no asa ha mizutamari de hanete
Hoshifuru yoru wo machi Negai wo kakeyou
The morning after the rain, I jump in the puddles.
I wait for a night of raining stars so I can make a wish.
「Ma Chérie
Koibitotachi ha wake1 mo naku
Kikkake mo Nani mo naku
Lovers have no reasoning,
Or motives, or anything.
Hisashiburi ni mikaketa Hanseiki Yorisou futari
Hora Soko no mado kara Koboreochiteiru shiawase wo
Sukoshi damatte Morattemite mo
Koko no mawari no hitotachi mo Minogashite kureru yo ne
I noticed for the first time in a long time, maybe half a century, a cuddling couple.
Look, from that window, happiness is falling.
Even if you try to be quiet for just a little while
The people around us will overlook it too.
Kinou no gogo no hiru ha Mou sukoshi yume no naka
Hoshifuru yoru wo machi Negai wo kakeyou
I wait for a night of raining stars so I can make a wish that
I could stay in the dream of yesterday for a little longer.
「Ma Chérie
Koibitotachi ha wake mo naku
Kikkake mo Nani mo naku
Lovers have no reasoning,
Or motives, or anything.
Hoshifuru yoru wo machi Negai wo kakeyou
I wait for a night of raining stars so I can make a wish.
Kurikaesu kono kotoba ha inori no kotoba
These words I repeat over and over are the words of a prayer.
Notes
1. “Riyuu” (“reason”) is written, but Gackt sings “wake”, which means the same thing.
