Thanatos Translation

A translation of Versailles’ “Thanatos” from their studio album “Holy Grail”. Masashi wrote this song, and accordingly the bass is highly featured.

On the altar at the end of the contract laughs the shadow of a demon,
Its shape still changing.

 

光なき闇に残された孤独
彼女はまだ生き続けていた螺旋の中
Hikarinaki yami ni nokosareta kodoku
Kanojo ha mada ikitsuzuketeita rasen no naka
I left behind loneliness in the the dark without light,
But she continues to live in the midst of a spiral.

Owarinaki kanashimi ha asai nemuri no naka
Dakishimete atatamete fukaku nemurasete ageru
I will embrace the neverending, sleepless sadness,
Warm it, and give it unto deep sleep.
