A translation of Matenrou Opera’s “Adult Children” from their single “Helios”. This song seems to be aimed at the ridiculous lies and petty triumphs that everyone takes in order to elevate themselves higher, regardless of what they have to do or say to get as high as possible. Perhaps in this way, the adults are just the same as children that play lying games to one-up each other.
Please do not steal this translation or use it without my permission. All rights belong to Matenrou Opera and their label Sherow Artist Society/Bellwood Records.

Nigorigitta sono me de
Ore wo min ja nee
Omae ha omae shika mite yashinai
You aren't looking at me
With those muddied eyes.
You only look at yourself.
Sokusetsu darake no rule
Magerarenee pride
Souridaijin ni demo nareba ii
Ever-adaptable rules,
Unbending pride,
That's all good and fine even to the Prime Minister.
Kurutteru no ha kashikoi omae sa
Jibun no niwa de hoetsuzukero
The one going mad is you, clever one.
Just go on howling in your own garden!
can you fuckin feel me
Gensaku kyauhon shuen
Omae ha nani yaku yaru no?
Sonna taihen sou ni ikikirashite
What role will you take
When you star in an original play?
It would be so terrible it would make it hard to breathe.
Tokui sou na aisowarai
Doko made mo aisowarai
Ikenai Kocchi made warawasenai de
How long will you wear
That insincere smile of triumph?
Just don't. Don't even laugh right now.
Sonna omae mo hito wo aisu nara
Kitto sore ga kono subarashii sekai
If that side of you were to love people,
Surely, this would be a brilliant world.
can you fuckin feel me
Kurutteru no ha kashikoi omae sa
Jibun no niwa de hoetsuzukero
Sonna omae mo hito wo aisu nara
Kitto sore ga kono subarashii sekai
The one going mad is you, clever one.
Just go on howling in your own garden!
If that side of you were to love people,
Surely, this would be a brilliant world.
can you fuckin feel me

The song is actually political commentary on how badly the Japanese government handled the Triple Disaster... A good number of songs from the Helios, Otoshiana and Justice releases are.
