ARCADIA Translation

A translation of Jupiter’s “ARCADIA” from their single of the same name. Arcadia is a region in Greece, which in medieval times became a peaceful and beautiful region despite the chaos of the region to the point where the name came to refer to an idyllic paradise. In the Renaissance it was celebrated as an unspoiled wilderness.

Notes
1. “Mikokoro” (a polite version of “kokoro”, or “God’s will/spirit”) is written, but Zin sings only “kokoro” (“heart, spirit”).
2. “Shinjitsu” (“truth, reality”) is written while Zin sings “kotae” (“answer”).
3. “Unmei” (“destiny, fate”) is written, but Zin sings “sadame” (“destiny, karma”).
4. “Ten” (“heaven, sky”) is written, but Zin sings “sora” (“sky”).
5. “Risoukyou”, which actually means “Arcadia”, is written while Zin sings “sekai” (“world”). I felt that “world” was better in this instance.
