A translation of Lareine’s “Dir en grey” from their album “Reine de fleur II”. I haven’t been able to find an explanation for the title of this song (or for the band who is said to have taken their name from this song (don’t quote me on that no one knows for sure)), though the “grey” part is evident in the lyrics.
~.oOOo.~
Hana wo chigiru boku wo mita kimi ha obieru
Looking at me who tore the flowers into pieces, you are afraid.
The fear naturally twined into the memories,
And jamming the lid shut, we'll dance forever.
Omoi ha itsumo hakanakute niji to kasanaru
Memories always overlap with the transient rainbows.
The fear naturally twined into the memories
Invites me with a sweet voice... how mischievous.
Naiteta higeki wo "anata" wo tashikameta boku ha
Itsuka no kotoba ha mu ni shiyou
Osanasugita yakusoku
Surely the tragedy that was cried, and you will
Leave me with no words.
What a childish promise.
Naturally twined into the memories,
Invites me with a sweet voice... you’re so mischievous!
Naiteta higeki wo "anata" wo tashikameta boku ha
Itsuka no kotoba ha mu ni shiyou
Osanasugita yakusoku
Surely the tragedy that was cried, and you will
Leave me with no words.
What a childish promise.
Yasashiku tsutsumikomu
Ude ha boku ja nai
Boku ja nai
You can no longer see anything in the ashen-grey me.
Gently, you wrap me up.
I'm not the one in your arms.
It isn't me...
