Trésor Translation

A translation of Kamijo’s “Trésor” from his single “Moulin Rouge”. It has a verse from “Symphony of the Vampire’s” track “Royal Tercet”, tying the two together.

Please do not steal this translation or use it publicly without crediting me. All rights belong to Kamijo and his label Warner Music Japan.

Moulin Rouge

Renga no michi no waki ni wareta hachiue to hana
Funsui no mukou soba Maboroshi wo sagasu
Beside the brick road are smashed potted plants and flowers.
I search for an illusion on the other side of the water fountain.

Dareka tomete Seine no nagare
Omoide ga nagareteyuku
Someone stop the flow of the Seine.
My memories are drifting.

Tobikoeru yuuki mo naku nozokikonda
I don't have the courage to leap over the large mirror made
Of yesterday's rain that I peered into.

Chiisa na boku no senaka no sora ga
Itsumo yori ookiku mieta
The small sky at my back
Seems larger than ever before.

Itsuka kitto tori no you ni
Paris juu wo miwatashite
Itsuka chichi to onaji you ni
Kunijuu wo miwataseru no ka na?
Surely someday, just like a bird,
I'll look out over Paris.
I wonder if someday, just like my father,
I'll look out over the entire country?

Dareka tomete Seine no nagare
Omoide ga nagareteyuku
Someone stop the flow of the Seine.
My memories are drifting.

Kanashii kara waratteita
Ureshii kara naiteita
Kanashii kara waratteita
Ureshii kara naiteita
Because we were sad, we laughed.
Because we were happy, we cried.
Because we were sad, we laughed.
Because we were happy, we cried.

Itsuka kitto tori no you ni
Paris juu wo miwatashite
Itsuka chichi to onaji you ni
Kunijuu wo miwataseru no ka na?
Surely someday, just like a bird,
I'll look out over Paris.
I wonder if someday, just like my father,
I'll look out over the entire country?
