永遠のブルー Translation

A translation of Matenrou Opera’s “Eien no Blue” from their album “Kassai to Gekijou no Gloria”. It’s a beautiful, slow, sad but soulful piece, probably my second favourite on the album.

Take in the happiness, take in the unhappiness...
The world seems a little tired. Not allowed to hear its loud voice,
We go on living, and this planet goes on living.
No matter the reason, no matter the hope, we're all here.

 

荒ぶる雨 僕らは黙った
濡れてく世界 潤い溢れ
確かなバランスありきのルール
僕にわかるはずもない
Araburu ame Bokura ha damatta
Fureteku sekai Uruoi afure
Tashika na balance ariki no rule
Boku ni wakaru  hazu mo nai
The wild rain silences us,
And the wetted world overflows with moisture.
The definite balance is based on rules
That are unknown to us.

 

人に手を差し伸べ 人の弱さを知ってから
同じ心 同じ形を 守り争い愛し合ってきた
神様を作って そうあるものだと頷き
「神が作りし、愛ある形」を 素晴らしきこの世と呼んだ
Hito ni te wo sashinobe Hito no yowasa wo shitte kara
Onaji kokoro Onaji katachi wo Mamori arasoi aishiatte kita
Kamisama wo tsukutte Sou aru mono da to unazuki
"Kami ga tsukuru shi, ai aru katachi" wo Subarashiki kono yo to yonda
Because I know human weakness, I reach my hand out to them.
With the same hearts and the same forms, they protect, they fight, and they love each other.
They create God and they approve of it.
"Make a God, a being with love", and with that, they say this world is glorious.

 

眩い世界 命は続く
死んでは産まれ 精一杯生きる
刹那に沿う 小さな光よ
次は僕らが照らそう
Mabayui sekai Inochi ha tsuzuku
Shinde ha umare Seippai ikiru
Setsuna ni sou Chiisa na hikari yo
Tsugi ha bokura ga terasou
In the dazzling world, life continues,
And in dying, more are born to live on with all their might.
Chase after the moment, the tiny little light,
And then, we'll seem to shine.

死んでは産まれ 精一杯生きるの
刹那に沿う 小さな光よ
次は僕らが照らそう
Mabayui sekai Inochi ha tsuzuku
Shinde ha umare Seippai ikiru
Setsuna ni sou Chiisa na hikari yo
