破壊の神となる 分明の利器
Ano asa no hikari ha Subete wo yakikeshita
Hakai no kami to naru Bunmei no Riki
The light of the morning burns everything away.
With the sharp tool of understanding, I become a god of destruction.

 

閉じ込めた嘆きを語れば
どうして 耳を塞ぐのか?
過去に目を背けて進めば
何も変わらない---
Tojikometa nageki wo katareba
Doushite Mimi wo fusagu no ka?
Kako ni me wo somukete susumeba
Nani mo kawaranai---
Why do you shut your ears to my reciting of
The shut-away lamentations?
If you turn your eyes away from the past as you go on,
Nothing will change---

 

僕らが手にしてる自由の裏側
泣いている人がいる
歴史の闇は今も生きている
偶然が重なって続いている命で何が出来る?
Bokura ga te ni shiteru jiyuu no uragawa
Naiteiru hito ga iru
Rekishi no yami ha ima mo ikiteiru
Guuzen ga kasanatte tsuzuiteiru inochi de nani ga dekiru?
If we take in our hands the reverse side of freedom,
There will be people crying.
The darkness of the past is still living, even now.
What can we do with lives that continue to accidentally overlap?

If knowing pain can change something,

We leap out from this masquerade¹,
But what will we do in these lives that continue to accidentally overlap?

1. Technically "butoukai" means "ball, dance", but since the song titles is "Masquerade", I used that in place of the real meaning.
