さらば Translation

A translation of the GazettE’s “Saraba” from their album “DISORDER”. This song embodies a lot of their aim and ideology – that is, Japanese pride and attempting to change the world by bringing awareness through their music. It’s a beautiful and touching piece.

日本の平和もこれで終わりですか？
ラジオやテレビは他国の犠牲晒す
次は我が身と語らぬジャーナリスト
他人面した、偽善者は決まって
「戦争は仕方が無い」と言う。
反戦の声はいつまで経っても届かない 教えて、何故同じ人間同士が争うの？

Peace... during it, this city of Japan once again has clear blue skies.
Black jet exhaust, sounds of continuous air raids.
With that, will Japan's peaceful era end too?
On the radio and television, we hear of the victims from other countries.
The journalists won't say that we're next.
They interview others, always the hypocrites,
And say, "It's war, so it can't be helped."
No matter how long the voices of anti-war go on, they won't be heard. Tell me, why does humankind fight each other?

政治や警察や学校や家庭は 今じゃお互い傷付け合ってる

昔、人々は国の為に悔いなく死んだ 今を生きる人よいつか思い出して。

Because we went soft in the peace, now Japan is going mad.
Government, police, school, and family... now, they all just hurt each other. Stop it, please stop it... will you just rot and die like this, Japan!?
