ORION ONCE AGAIN

Enbi naru nagaki no kokkai
Jihi fukaku haitoku no senrei
Kurikaesu shito no choushou
Penitance of beautiful grief,
Baptism of corruption steeped with charity,
Sneers of eternal disciples.

Fumie1 no ue de sagesumi
Sanbika de jiyuu wo utau
Kyoushin ha gisei to naru
They stand ignorant on the image of Christ,
Singing of freedom in their hymns.
Fanatacism becomes their scapegoat.

Adore me and trust me
The truth is unwinding
From my lips open your mind

I watch you and wash you
Then I can erase
All of your pain

Faith is sacrifice
Face to the despair
Faith is sacrifice

「NO SALVATION」

Kanbi naru sabaki to shokuzai
Tsumi fukaki haitoku no keifu
Kurikaesu shito no choushou
Sweet Judgement and the Atonement,
Pedigree of sin-steeped corruption,
Sneers of eternal disciples...

Fukei ni yugamu shuudou
Ayamachi wo nigererarezu ni
Juuji wo egaku
Learning skewed by disrespect...
Hang on the crucifix
Unable to escape from all your faults.

Adore me and trust me
The truth is unwinding
From my lips open your mind

I watch you and wash you
Then I can erase
All of your pain

Faith is sacrifice
Face to the despair
Faith is sacrifice

「NO SALVATION」

Towa ni tsuzuku hazu no hi ga
Kuzureochiyuku sadame nara
Nido to yakusoku no chi ni te wo nobashite mo
Sukui ha otozurenai
If that day that should continue through eternity
Falls into destined ruin,
Even if you try to reach out for the promised land again,
There will be no salvation for you.

Notes
1. “Fumie” is a very difficult word to translate. It’s actually a phrase meaning “to step on a Christian image”. The word came into existence during the persecution of Christians in Japan. One would be asked by an official to step on an image of Christ, the Virgin Mary, or any other religious picture. As Christians would refuse to do this, it would weed out Christians from innocent citizens for persecution. For simplicity’s sake, I translated “fumie” as “image of Christ”. As the song itself is full of Christian imagery and words, this is easier to fit into the lyrics.
