HESITATING MEANS DEATH Translation

A translation of the GazettE’s “HESITATING MEANS DEATH”, which was released as a B-side on their single “SHIVER”. I don’t have much to say about this song, other than the music is amazing (one of my favourite pieces of their guitarwork) and I’m glad to see Ruki’s English is improving extremely well. I’m so proud of him. XD

Since the song is basically all in English, I am working on a Japanese translation.

Please do not steal this translation or use it without my permission. All rights belong to the GazettE and their label, PS Company and Sony Music Japan.

~.oOOo.~

SHIVER

It was suspicious days
I lost sight of an enemy
I did not notice the pit [I am foolish…]
Put an end to stillness
I can't yet die
[I can't miss the eyes from fate]

This bullet is all openings
Don't forget the meaning that pulled a trigger
I bet all on this bullet
Don't forget the meaning that pulled a trigger
Hesitating means death

[Countless tears] [Timeless scene] [Nameless liberty]

I still remember it
Because I more strongly than anyone prayed
I believe it

Even if my dreams fails
Even if my throat breaks off
This song continues living
I give all
[This is fate]

Even if my dreams fails
Even if my throat breaks off
This song continues living
刻 み付けるように...
Even if my dreams fails
Even if my throat breaks off
This song continues living
Kizamitsukeru you ni...
Even if my dreams fails
Even if my throat breaks off
This song continues living
So that it will engrave...

Even if my dreams fails
Even if my body breaks off
This song continues living
I give all
[This is fate]

Great post.Music and translation is shown to be a fascinating area to explore, not only for specialized translators as well as for researchers in translation studies, cultural studies, media studies and musicology.Just a quick note it is important that Japanese translation being accurate and efficient can indeed not be overstated. Especially in the ever faster moving world of globalized business, successful information and technology transfer within multinational businesses can make the difference between win or lose.
