TOMORROW NEVER DIES Translation

A translation of the GazettE’s “TOMORROW NEVER DIES” from their studio album “TOXIC”. This song has a lot of meaning to me, and it’s a very plainly- but powerfully-written piece. All those who believe that these men are degenerate and glorifying amoralism should rethink.

Please do not steal this translation or use it without my permission. All rights belong to the GazettE and their label PS Company/Sony Music Japan.

~.oOOo.~

TOXIC

Don't delete the value to live for by death

感情を掻き乱して君が踊ってる
日々感じる苦悩を吐いて明日を生きられるなら
Kanjou wo kakimidashite kimi ga odotteru
Hibi kanjiru kunou wo toite ashita wo ikirareru nara
You dance, stirring up all these emotions.
Each day, you vomit up distress you feel so that you can live through to  tomorrow.

The only words that I can say to you
―Don't forget the heat that felt here―

脈打つ鼓動 胸に刺して君が嘆き叫ぶ
ヘドロ塗れのその足で此処に孤独を捨てに来ればいい
Myakuutsu kodou Mune ni sashite kimi ga nagekisakebu
Hedoro mamire no sono ashi de koko ni kodoku wo sute ni kureba ii
Pounding palpitations pierce your chest, and you scream and cry.
You can cast off the loneliness here if you come on your sludge-stained feet.

Spit out a pain here
Erase a hesitation
聞こえているかい?
Spit out a pain here
Erase a hesitation
Kikoeteiru kai?
Spit out a pain here
Erase a hesitation
Can you hear me?

To this day

How many times did you think about death?
In the small world
The death doesn't give freedom to you
Even feelings fade away
How many times did you think about death?
In the broken world

If you can believe nothing
Spit out a pain here

切りつける前に問いかけてみな あがいてまで生きてゆく価値に
明日を断つその無意味さに 誰かが願った明日に―
Kiritsukeru mae ni toikekete mina Agaite made ikiteyuku kachi ni
Ashita wo tatsu sono muimisa ni Dare ka ga tayotta ashita ni
Ask what the value in living until you claw at the ground is before you ignore it1.
Someone is wishing for that tomorrow you're meaninglessly cutting off―

How many times did you think about death?
In the small world
The death doesn't give freedom to you
Even feelings fade away
How many times did you think about death?
In the broken world
Tomorrow does not disappear
Don't kill yourself

Notes
1. The verb is actually “to cut off”, but another verb meaning “to cut off” is used in the next line, so for the sake of non-redundency I changed this.
